Who are we?

Our website address is https://espacegalloromain.be.

Use of personal data collected

When you leave a comment on our website, the data you provide in the comment form, your IP address and the type of browser used are collected to help us detect spam.

An anonymised string created from your email address (also known as a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to check if you are using it. The Gravatar service’s privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. Once your comment has been approved, your profile picture will be visible to the public alongside your comment.

If you are a registered user and upload images to a website, we advise you to avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to your website can download and extract location data from these images.

If you leave a comment on our site, you may opt in to storing your name, email address and website in cookies. This is for your convenience only, so that you don’t have to enter this information if you post another comment later. These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit the login page, a temporary cookie will be created to determine whether your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and will be automatically deleted when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will create a number of cookies to save your login information and screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen option cookies last for one year. If you select “Remember me”, your login cookie will be stored for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookie will be deleted.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved to your browser. This cookie contains no personal data. It simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after one day.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles etc.). Embedded content from other sites behaves in the same way as if the visitor were visiting the other site.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking and monitor your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to their website.

Who we share your data with

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This means we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users who register on our site (where possible), we also store the personal data they provide in their user profile. All users can view, edit or delete their personal information (with the exception of their username) at any time. Website administrators can also view and edit this information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also ask for your personal data to be deleted. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal or security purposes.

Where we send your data

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
